Northwest winds remain gusty through the morning as a cold front exits through the Gulf of Maine.
High pressure builds in quickly in its wake today.
Later this week, as return southwest flow develops, winds may again approach 25 knot gusts along with building seas beyond Monhegan and Matinicus Islands, but otherwise the weather on the waters looks awfully quiet for this time of year.
Today: N winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt, becoming NW 5 to 10 kt this afternoon. Seas around 2 ft this morning, then 1 foot or less.
