High pressure will remain centered over southern Canada through much of the week.

A nor'easter will meander off the Mid Atlantic coast through midweek and then lift northeast late week, skirting the edge of the Gulf of Maine.

Periods of gusty north to northeast winds are possible from late tonight into Wednesday.

As the nor'easter pulls east of the waters late week, north to northeast winds will increase with possible gales over the outer waters Thursday night into Friday.

The nor'easter will likely bring some swells into the waters with seas remaining elevated above 5 feet through the week.

Today: N winds 5 to 10 kt with gusts up to 20 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt late this morning and afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 ft.
