A cold front crosses the waters this evening and northwest winds will become gusty through the overnight.
This will be brief though with high pressure building back in quickly in its wake.
Later this week as return southwest flow develops winds may again approach 25 knot gusts along with building seas beyond Monhegan and Matinicus Islands, but otherwise the weather on the waters looks awfully quiet for this time of year.
